Don' Grieve the Holy Spirit

If we are walking in the Holy Spirit and regularly feeding on God's Word, then when we do something or start going the wrong way, the Holy Spirit inside of us will tell us. This inner alarm bell of the Spirit of God will start to go off and convict us of what we are doing. It is important that we listen to those alarm bells and that we not ignore the Spirit of God inside of us. If we continually to choose to ignore those warnings of the Holy Spirit and grieve Him, eventually we will drown out His voice and become spiritually hardened.

Are You Suffering Post Traumatic Stress Unknowingly?

You don’t have to be a soldier to have post traumatic stress. Karlton shares how one with a chronic illness may suffer from PTSD.

“When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; He brought me into a spacious place” (Psalm 118:5).

Bring Any Request to God

Bring any request you have to God.

No request is too large; none too small or insignificant.

How often we limit God by not bringing to God everything we want and need.

Do we need help getting our balance? Getting through the day?

Do we need help in a particular relationship? With a particular character defect? Attaining a character asset?

Do we need help making progress on a particular task that is challenging us? Do we need help with a feeling? Do we want to change a self-defeating belief that has been challenging us? Do we need information, an insight? Support? A friend?

Is there something in God's Universe that would really bring us joy?

We can ask for it. We can ask God for whatever we want. Put the request in God's hands, trusting it has been heard, and then let it go. Leave the decision to God.

Asking for what we want and need is taking care of ourselves. Trust that the Higher Power to whom we have turned over our life and will really does care about us and about what we want and need.

Today, I will ask my Higher Power for what I want and need. I will not demand - I will ask. Then I will let go.

Don’t Worry!

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

God did not create men and women to live under anxiety, tension, and stress. If we humble ourselves before God, which means if we give our tension, fears, concerns, anxiety,, and stress too Him, He can do something about it. As long as we are holding on to our burdens, God will not move in to change things.

Read the resurrection story from the book!

Matthew chapter 27 and chapter 28
Mark chapter 15 and chapter 16
Luke chapter 23 and chapter 24
John chapter 19 and chapter 20

These are the places in the Bible that record his actual crucifixion and resurrection, told from the viewpoint of Each disciple whose name titles the book. Each disciple gives different emphasis on varying detail, but all together gives the complete picture of his crucifixion and burial, and resurrection.
